My apologies

Sorry for being so inactive this week -- I've been ridiculously busy with class work (3 papers, two of which due tomorrow, the third on Friday.) and preparing to go to Grand Prix Denver this weekend (gigantic Magic: The Gathering tournament spanning several days and various formats).

Things should pick up again after this next Sunday, expect to read a lot of shit about GPDenver.

  1. Good luck at the tourny. What kind of decks are you going to play? As a fellow wizard I'm interested.

  4. GPDenver is a sealed event (3 Scars of Mirrodin, 3 Mirrodin Besieged packs) on day 1, and a Scars, Scars, Besieged draft on day 2 for the top 120-something players from day 1, with a few Star City Open events on the side.

Hopefully I'll be able to draft an Infect deck since they're totally busted in sealed, but we'll see.

As for the Star City Open events, for Standard I'll be playing a Fish style (look it up, too much trouble explaining) Artifact Creature deck that I've been testing (with strong results against 2/3s of the meta, and average against the other third (plus going rogue always brings with it a strong advantage, since nobody has sideboard tech against you.) and for the Extended events I haven't decided. I'll probably do some scoping and either play Jund or Faeries depending on which I think will post a stronger result.

And for the casual EDH'ing that goes on all weekend, I've got my Jenara, Asura of War deck ready to slap some bitches.
